We are looking for an experienced general manager to take over the overall management of a multi faceted leisure business encompassing a well established theatre, extensive conference and event facilities and a large sports and fitness centre. You will have full responsibility for the complete management of the building which has a combined turnover of just under £3m.The theatre has a seating capacity of 500 and hosts a wide range of acts throughout the year in addition to running an acclaimed pantomime whilst the main hall can host up to 800 and is booked throughout the year for conferences, events and weddings. With the catering in house this is a very significant food and beverage operation to manage. In addition there is a well equipped 80 station gym which has a membership base of around 1200. The GM will be working through heads of departments including an entertainment manager who is tasked with booking the acts and negotiating with the promoters and agents, a sport and leisure and a catering and hospitality manager and under them you will be leading a team of up to 60 full time staff. We are looking for an experienced and strategic operator with extensive financial, budgetary and business planning experience to take the business to the next level. Ideally candidates must have a proven track record running a multi stream entertainment/leisure business and preference will be given to those candidates with a solid background in these areas.
