Complex General Manager Nationwide UK
£40K basic OTE 60K plus accommodation We are looking for a number of designate Complex Managers to work for one of the largest and most successful leisure and holiday businesses in the uk. My client is widely recognised as being one of the very best employers to work for in the UK. Their hospitality operation is high volume with an average turnover of up to £2m but rising to £4m at their biggest sites across a 38 week trading period, your responsibility will be to manage numerous bar and catering outlets throughout the operation. Depending on the specific site you could have overall responsibility for managing two show bars with capacities for up to 1000 people , branded restaurants including Burger King and Papa Johns, a branded pub/diner, fish and chip shop, hot dog concessions and numerous vending outlets. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record running multiple high volume entertainment, retail or leisure operations as well as being a huge personality with outstanding leadership qualities and communication skills. The right candidate must also have a strong sales background with an ability to drive sales through pro-active marketing. You have overall responsibility for budgeting and the key to success will be the ability to deliver and manage both GPs and bottom line profit across the park so strong Profit & Lose experience is essential. You will also need to demonstrate excellent people management and administrative skills, and be able to work under considerable pressure during the peak season. You will be given a huge amount of autonomy to meet and exceed your budget and we are looking for individuals who will relish this freedom and who can and will go the extra mile to ensure that your team of up to 8 managers and deputies and full and part time complement of up to 100 staff work to achieve the complex targets. With up to 5000 holidaymakers coming onto the park each and every week in peak season their overall experience is of paramount importance to my client and the most important criteria for you as complex manager is to ensue that the holidaymaker feedback surveys show excellent results across your departments. The rewards for outperforming are second to none and it would be realistic to expect a bonus of up to 50% of basic salary for beating your bottom line targets, whilst bonuses of up to 100% of basic were paid in 2008 and 2009 with some of the very best managers in the business earning around 100K. It is essential that interested candidates are prepared to relocate to any of the coastal holiday parks in the UK.
